Deciding to go on vacation to reduce stress is one of the best things you can do for yourself, however travel can be stressful. 44% of American‘s feel flying is stressful, and 41% feel it is frustrating. To keep stress from taking over your vacation you can do the following:
1. Consider your destination carefully. Think about whether you want travel with a group, and how active you feel like being. This is where getting the advise of a travel professional like me pays off. You would tell me what you want to experience while vacationing, I make the plans and take care of the details, and you show up ready to relax.
2. Arrive at the airport early and pack light to avoid any delays or issues at security checkpoints.
3. Have the right attitude. No matter what happens remember you are on vacation. Take a deep breath and relax.
As always, please feel free to share your thoughts and experiences. I hope that by sharing my experiences you find strength, hope, and solutions when you make your commitment to live beyond your illness.
